Ultra
Electronics Ultra Electronics is a defence
and aerospace company
specialising in the design, manufacture and support of electronic and
electromechanical systems, sub systems, products and services for
aircraft, ships, submarines, armoured vehicles, surveillance and
communication systems, airport and transport systems. Ultra Electronics
Affiliated Company, Ultra Electronics Maritime Systems (UEMS), has
developed a new method for communication where you communicate through
Magnetic-induction (MI).
What is MI Technology?
MI is a wireless technology that uses
pure magnetic fields rather than
radio’s electro-magnetic fields to communicate. MI has the ability to
”punch through” most natural and manmade barriers to provide effective
tactical communication and command and control.
Key features and area of use
MI can communicate wirelessly
through soil, rock, salt water and urban structures while radio will
not.
Because MI does not use propagating
electromagnetic waves, it is not readily jammed (unlike radio)
Since it is range limited by
design, it is inherently LPD and LPI.
Since
the system works through every media it can be used for communication
in caves, tunnels or bunkers where wireless communication equipment
usually not work.
Typical application is voice / data
communication, sensor control, alarm, weapon activation or navigation.

hours of listen time on fully charged battery.
Speaker microphone handset
Volume control
Plug-and-play antenna options for
extended-range operations
Telecommunication
Interception
Over the past two decades, telecommunications interception has
developed into a major industry. Intelligence agencies and private
organizations around the world routinely intercept calls that may yield
sensitive political, military or economic information.
The use of wiretapping has become so widespread, simple and
uncontrolled that you must assume that records of your private calls
end up in the wrong hands. Equipment for wireless interception of
mobile phone calls has become available at such low prices that it is
deployed frequently even in comparatively small business conflicts. So
using encryption to protect your privacy is the prudent choice.
GSMK CryptoPhone technology is based on well-researched algorithms for
both encryption and voice processing: The strongest encryption
available combined with key lengths that provide peace of mind today
and in the future. CryptoPhone encrypt your calls with the two
algorithms that are regarded strongest by the cryptographic community -
AES and Twofish.
CryptoPhone is the first secure phone that comes with full source code
available for independent review. Finally, you can perform an
independent assessment to ensure that there is no weak encryption and
no backdoors in the device you entrust your telecommunications security
to.

The New
Encryption Generation
Concerned about the damage and liabilities of lost and stolen data,
enterprises are turning to encryption as a backstop to prevent
corporate and customer information from ending up in the wrong hands.
Outdated, first-generation encryption technologies, however, often
deliver less than promised—either leaving critical gaps in security,
preventing the legitimate recovery of data or, even worse, encouraging
operational compromises that can be exploited. Organizations today need
a more intelligent, multilayered approach to encryption that
automatically safeguards data without complicating essential IT and
user operations.
Credant Mobile Guardian
Credant’s integrated policy-based platform, Credant Mobile Guardian
(CMG), provides comprehensive controls to ensure data is always secure
across a broad range of devices—without compromising IT operational
processes or security. CMG comprises security policies that enforce any
or all of the five levels of Intelligent Encryption and that allow all
sensitive data to be encrypted automatically, wherever that data
resides. Credant security provides the encryption simplicity associated
with full disk encryption technologies, but without the associated
headaches, and with the assurance that endpoint devices and media
adhere to enterprise security policies.
CMG’s
Policy-based Intelligent Encryption technology delivers Full Data
Encryption for laptops, desktops, handhelds and external media. CMG
also gives you the flexibility and ease-of-use not found in older,
first-generation encryption technologies, such as full disk and
file/folder encryption. With Credant’s Intelligent Encryption, a
security administrator can easily establish and enforce policies
governing the application of encryption on all mobile endpoints.
