BGAN is the world's first mobile communications service to deliver broadband data and voice, simultaneously, through a single, truly portable device, anywhere on the planet. It is also the first mobile communications service to offer guaranteed data rates on demand.
These unique innovations enable BGAN to extend the boundaries of the broadband mobile office that 3G cellular services are beginning to deliver, positioning it alongside the world's most advanced digital mobile services.
The BGAN service is accessible via small, lightweight satellite terminals that can be connected quickly and easily to notebook PCs or Macs. A range of terminals will be available providing performance options to suit different operational needs.
The smallest terminals are designed to suit single users, for whom portability is the primary concern. Larger terminals within the range offer higher bandwidth and are particularly suitable for small teams, who may need to establish temporary offices for longer periods. All the terminals are robust and able to withstand challenging environments and extremes of temperature.

Regional RBGAN
| Regional BGAN is a high-speed satellite IP modem operating at speeds of up to 144 kbps. This is more than twice the speed of GPRS terrestrial systems and is the first time that such speeds have been possible from one lightweight, portable terminal. The system is operational within 99 countries spanning Europe, The Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, South America and North, Central and West Africa. It is a cost-efficient option, as it is "always on", meaning that you only pay for data sent and received, not for the time connected. |
