With SRI International’s new system, The Aware Mobile Mesh Solution (AMMS) and its accompanying Integrated Video Environment (IVE), they bring proven technologies, developed through its work for the U.S military, to the commercial marketplace. AMMS offers a comprehensive solution that not only “meshes” various networks and provides an ad hoc network on the fly, but it is also the only mesh system within the industry that has a user interface designed for law enforcement and security professionals. The system is optimized for encrypted video and data transfer over wireless links where bandwidth degradation occurs in real-world environments. Other user features include GPS tracking, mapping, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), whiteboarding, frame capture, and instant messaging with attached files.

The Aware Mobile Mesh Solution includes three different parts that completes the system. These parts are: Aware Application, Portable Mesh Exchange, and System Management Center.

Portable Mesh Exchange (PMX) – The box that bridges networks. Integrated Video Environment (IVE) is an accompanying product to the Aware Mobile Mesh System. IVE is a software and hardware solution for managing large scale, distributed video and data systems in a comprehensive, user friendly, 3D environment. Features: Non-Proprietary, standards based video system Works together with Aware Mobile Mesh solution Handles multiple video sources in high resolution Can be connected to existing infrastructure Complete overview of cameras and sensors in a 3D environment. Available in two versions, for 100 cameras or 512 cameras. Multiple clients can simultaneously access the same video

System Management Center (SMC) – The tool to get you going. The Aware Management System that controls all the connected units in the MESH-network.
