T-FLEX

The T-FLEX system gives more flexibility in the configuration and use of multiple solar panels. Until now we have offered three sizes of panels; IDG T-20 (one panel), IDG T-40 (two panels) or IDG T-60 (three panels). These configurations are still available. Now you can order single panels (IDG T-20) and connect two or three panels together according to the specific needs of the situation. Example: An expedition has 3 IDG T-20 panels. In the base camp they use a laptop computer and an Inmarsat GAN terminal. To power this equipment they connect the 3 panels together to get a maximum output of 60 Watts. From the base camp they make trips by foot, carrying as low weight as possible. They can then bring just one panel to charge their Iridium phone and PDA. At the same time the 2 remaining panels are left in the base camp connected together in the 40 W configuration to charge other batteries. 

The T-FLEX connector is available as the T-FLEX-2 (for 2 panels, 40 W max output) or T-FLEX-3 (for 2 or 3 panels, 60 W max output).
